Dietary Phytoestrogens Influence on Core Body Temperature in 75 day-old rats. In general, during the dark phase of the light cycle, Phyto-free fed males displayed significantly higher core body temperatures (* p < 0.05) compared to Phyto-600 fed values. However, near the end of the dark (at 3 am) and light (at 3 pm) phase of the dark/light cycle Phyto-600 fed males displayed significantly higher core body temperatures (â–² p < 0.05) compared to Phyto-free values.
