Analyzing the effect of cellular treatments on 13C 6 glucose uptake and GLUT-1 expression. Continuous (or chronic) cellular exposure to 100 μM ARG for 7 days in the presence or absence of 30 μM L-NAME or 30 μM CMP-C decreased 13C6 glucose uptake from the medium (A) and GLUT-1 expression (B). Inhibition of cellular accumulation of glucose via gluconeogenesis improved 13C6 glucose and GLUT-1 expression. n = 6.
