Expression of TLR4 and MyD 88 proteins in the jejunum and ileum. Tissue lysates were prepared for Western blot analysis and 50 μg of total protein were loaded and immunoblotted with anti- TLR4 and MyD 88 and TRAF6 antibodies, with tubulin as a loading control. Top: a typical blot. Bottom: relative densitometric values are means ± SE. MTX rats demonstrated a significant decrease in TLR-4 and MyD88 expression in jejunum and ileum compared to control animals. Protein expression of TLR-4 and MyD88 increased following glutamine administration.
