Tissue lysates were prepared for Western blot analysis and 50 μg of total protein were loaded and immunoblotted with anti- TLR4 and MyD 88 and TRAF6 antibodies, with tubulin as a loading control. Top: a typical blot. Bottom: relative densitometric values are means ± SE. MTX rats demonstrated a significant decrease in TLR-4 and MyD88 expression in jejunum and ileum compared to control animals. Protein expression of TLR-4 and MyD88 increased following glutamine administration.
