Green triangles indicate patients with HbA1c levels of ≤ 7.4%, blue squares those with HbA1c levels of 7.5% - 8.9% and red circles those with HbA1c levels of ≥ 9.0%. Baseline HbA1c levels were positively correlated with baseline carbohydrate intake (g/day) (A). Δcarbohydrate intake (g/day) was inversely and very strongly correlated with baseline carbohydrate intake (g/day) with consumption of the moderate LCDs (B).
