Relationship between the number of RT-PCR cycles and the initial copies used (expressed as the log of the initial number of bases) in seven cDNA standards. Parameters of the regression lines obtained for the individual (and combined) cDNAs are shown on Table 2. Each point of the line shown represents an individual measurement (N = 47). The most concentrated initial cDNA was 108, and was the same for all the transcripts tested. This stock solution was successively diluted 1/10 to obtain the rest of concentrations, down to 102 copies of cDNA per tube.
