HCMs (black square) rapidly decreased postprandial β-hydroxybutyrate, acetoacetate and FFA concentrations, while LCMs (white square) increased or did not change them (P < 0.001 for the difference between the two meals for β-hydroxybutyrate, acetoacetate and FFAs).
