Table 3 Effects of CLA treatment on plasma concentration of metabolites in mice

  1. At 30 d of treatment and after 3 h fast, glucose, adiponectin and leptin plasma concentrations were determined from tail blood samples. The rest of plasmatic metabolites were determined at the end of the study (65 days of treatment) after 10 h fast and from blood samples collected by cardiac puncture. Data are means ± SEM of 8 mice at 65 d of treatment; of 3-8 mice for leptin and adiponectin on day 30 and of 7 mice for glucose on day 30. Means in a row without a common letter differ, P < 0.05 (ANOVA followed by LSD test).
