The relationship between obtaining sequential muscle biopsies (2BX) and utilizing the single biopsy approach with a long incorporation time (1BX LONG) in study 1. There was a significant (r = 0.9, P = 0.003) correlation between rates of myofibrillar protein synthesis (FSR, %/hr) using the 2BX and 1BX LONG approaches.
