HF-fed mice were then subjected (dashed vertical line) to gavage treatment once daily for 3 weeks with either vehicle (water) (black circles, n = 7 mice), CGA (hatched circles, n = 8 mice) or CGA/Chromium III (CGA/Cr) (gray circles, n = 8 mice). RD-fed mice (n = 7) underwent gavage with water alone. Mice continued to have full access to the same diets during the treatment period. Body weight was measured weekly over the treatment period.
