A-Mttp ^−/− mice show normal glucose metabolism. Plasma glucose (a) and insulin (b) levels were measured in overnight fasted HFD fed animals. Glucose (c) and Insulin (d) tolerance tests were performed in Mttp ^fl/fl and A-Mttp ^−/− mice fed a HFD for 15 weeks. For glucose tolerance test, mice were fasted overnight (16 h) before glucose challenge (2 mg/kg body weight, i.p.). For insulin sensitivity test, mice were fasted for 4 h before ip insulin injection. Tail blood was collected before injection and after each 30 min up to 2 h. Data are represented as mean ± SD (N = 4). *, p < 0.05
