  1. Representative genes were selected to validate the microarray results in liver, using real-time RT-PCR. For the comparison of Acads−/− HF diet vs. LF diet, 27 genes are shown. There was strong concordance between the two platforms, i.e., 23 PCR assays reached statistical significance in a two-tailed Student’s t-test performed on ΔCt values
