Z-ligustilide modulates PGE2 production in human THP-1 cells and PBLs. a: Effect of z-ligustilide, 15d–PGJ2 and rosiglitazone on THP-1 cells: Cells were differentiated in vitro with phorbol myristate acetate (20 nm/L) for 3 days, stimulated with LPS (1 μg/mL) in the absence or presence of z-ligustilide (25 μM), rosiglitazone (25 μM), or 15d–PGJ2 (2.5 μM). Secreted PGE2 was determined after 24 h by EIA. b: Freshly isolated peripheral blood leukocytes were stimulated with LPS/IFN-γ in the presence of graded amounts of z- ligustilide.
