Protein kinase C and NF-kb inhibition reduce DNA release by positive foods. All samples were treated with a positive food with either no inhibitor, or one of the signaling inhibitors listed. Inhibitor #2 (Bay11-7082, inhibits NF-kb) and Inhibitor #5 (Go6983, inhibits PKC) resulted in resulted in a significant decrease in mean DNA concentration when added to ALCAT positive foods.
