The rat model of catch-up growth in adulthood (CUGA) was modeled using a diet that matched the weight of the rats. The rats in the calorie restriction period were given a feed amount that was 60% of the free-fed volume of rats in the AL group with the same weight, while those in the diet recovery period were given a feed amount that was 100% of the free-fed volume of rats in the AL group with the same weight. Changes of (a) energy intake, (b) body weight, (c) BFM% (BFM/BW), (d) AFM% (AFM/BW), (e) AFM/BFM ration, and (f) LBM% (LBM/BW) over the course of CUGA (n = 8/group).
