Effects of high-glucose and hypoxia on BNIP3 expression in H9c2 cells. Cells were cultured in high-glucose medium (33 mM) and incubated in hypoxia (5%) for different time-periods as indicated. Wetern blotting analysis show increase in hypoxia associated protein expression such as HIF1α and BNIP3 that was correlated with increase in pro-apoptotic protein Bak and decrease in anti-apoptotic proteins P-Akt and BcL-xLl(n = 3).
