Tumors were implanted orthotopically at day 0, and diets were initiated at day 3 (arrow). The SD-UR, KC-UR, and KC-R represent the standard high carbohydrate diet fed unrestricted, the KetoCal® diet fed unrestricted, and the KetoCal® diet fed in restricted amounts, respectively. Values are expressed as the mean ± SEM (n = 12–14 mice per group), and asterisks indicate that the body weights of the KC-R mice (▴) were significantly lower than those of the unrestricted control groups at P < 0.01.
