α-MG treatment decreased a TBARS, b tROS, c mitoROS, d cyt c, e Ca2+ in FFA-treated primary hepatocyte. The primary liver cells were treated with α-MG (10, 20, 30 μM) for 24 h. Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), tROS and mitoROS were quantified by flow cytometry, whereas Ca2+ concentration were quantified by colorimetry assays. Cyt c level was quantified by western blotting. Values are means ± SD, n = 3. (*P < 0.05 versus primary liver cells ; # P < 0.05 versus FFA-induced hepatocyte)
