ALA was downregulated protein expression levels of MyoD, myogenin, and myostatin in the skeletal muscles of OLETF rats. MyoD, myogenin, myostatin, atrogin-1, and MuRF1 expression levels in rat skeletal muscle were determined after 8 weeks of ALA treatment using a western blot analyses, b scanning densitometry.
