Effect of CaCO3 on the histology of the femur. Histological sections (HE.25×) of trabecular bone from rats in different groups were observed. OVX caused an obvious loss of trabecular bone in the OVX-LC group, and the administration of 750 mg/kg or 2800 mg/kg CaCO3 significantly rendered the loss of trabecular bone in OVX-LC rats
