The hepatic expression was assessed at mRNA and protein levels by qPCR/ELISA for PCSK9 (A, B) and qPCR/Western blot for (ANXA2; C, D). The mRNA level was calculated with 2^−ΔΔCt method. The relative protein level on the blots was determined by ImageJ, using actin as an internal control. Values are reported as mean ± SD; n = 5 in each group.
