Experimental flow. Blood samples from 20 subjects were first sent for LA testing against a large panel of food items. After obtaining these results subsequent blood samples were incubated with LA positive and LA negative food items individually, and DNA release in the supernatant was assayed as explained in the methods. This was done in the absence can presence of signaling inhibitors
